In July, be.Living opens it doors for children to embark on a journey of experiences, enjoyment and exploration with the Vacation Station vacation program. Specially designed for Early Childhood Education students, Vacation Station offers a safe environment full of fun and meaningful activities with the theme “Backyard Games”.
This program is light and stimulating. The idea is to provide children with quality time, with multiple possibilities for interaction and play, and at the same time to meet the needs of families who can’t take 30 days off to spend time with their kids in July. “We understand that it is rare for many families to be able to take a vacation when their children are off from school, and our program offers a stimulating and welcoming environment for children, allowing them to enjoy a fun and interactive routine while their families work,” says be.Living’s Early Childhood Education coordinator, Camila Maia.
Because the kids are on vacation, the program offers them a change of pace from a regular school day.
Camila explains that, during this period, the activities aren’t necessarily in line with the school curriculum, but are designed to foster reflection, learning and recreation. “The teachers carefully prepare the spaces, encouraging symbolic play, sensory exploration, artistic experiences and staged readings. The students have a different, more relaxed time and are able to interact with their classmates and teachers.”
She says that the “Backyard Games” theme inspires group play, various games and lots of free play in spaces designed with different intentions. Interaction with nature and arts offerings are essential components of the program, ensuring a rich and diverse experience for everyone.
As well as playing games, the children also take part in extracurricular activities such as capoeira, ballet, soccer, musicalization, yoga and judo. These activities complement Vacation Station’s approach, offering a pleasant and light routine, where every day is a new adventure to be experienced.
It is important to note that Vacation Station is open not only to children enrolled at be.Living, but also to children between the ages of 3 and 5 who are not currently attending the school. This creates an opportunity for the children to make new friends and have an enriching experience in an environment that has been carefully prepared to offer pleasant and meaningful moments.
This year, the work will take place through groups that allow students from different classes to interact: Yellow Orange, Green and Red, and Blue and Year 1. “We believe that this interaction promotes meaningful learning, challenging children to exercise autonomy and resolve conflicts,” said our coordinator.
More than just a vacation program, Vacation Station from be.Living is an opportunity for children to experience school in a new and exciting way. We invite all families who need support to join us this July, providing children an unforgettable experience filled with fun, learning and interaction.
